Industrial Plastic Nozzles for Filling, Dosing, Spraying & Flow Control

Kaybin manufactures custom industrial plastic nozzles for OEM machinery and plant systems where controlled flow, chemical resistance and repeatable spray or fill performance are required. Nozzles are machined or moulded to drawing or sample and configured to suit low-flow dosing, high-flow rinse manifolds and process spray applications.

This page covers industrial and OEM nozzle components only — not consumer hose fittings or garden sprayers.

Nozzle Applications & Types

Filling & Dosing Nozzles
Volumetric filling nozzles, bottom-up fill designs, anti-drip dispensing tips and controlled-flow dosing outlets for packaging and batching systems.

Spray & Rinse Nozzles
Flat fan spray nozzles, full cone and hollow cone spray tips, CIP rinse nozzles and washdown nozzles for tanks, conveyors and processing equipment.

Flow & Discharge Nozzles
Inline discharge tips, drain spouts, manifold outlet ports and custom geometry nozzles for directional flow control.

Thread & Connection Options

Common industrial thread forms include BSP, NPT and metric threads in sizes such as 1/4", 1/2" and 3/4" (application dependent). Clamp, flange and push-fit connections can also be produced to match OEM assemblies.

Material Options

Nozzles are manufactured from engineering plastics selected for chemical compatibility, temperature range and mechanical duty:

  • PTFE (virgin / filled) – high chemical resistance, low friction
  • Acetal / POM – dimensional stability and accurate thread machining
  • Polypropylene (PP) – chemical resistance in compatible services
  • UHMWPE / HDPE – abrasion resistance for slurry or solids duty
  • Nylon (PA6 / PA66) – toughness and structural strength
  • Polyurethane (PU) – impact-resistant or resilient tip applications

Material selection is reviewed against media type, cleaning chemistry, operating pressure (bar/psi context), temperature and expected wear profile.

Engineering & Performance Considerations

Design review typically considers:

  • Orifice diameter and flow rate (L/min, m³/h, GPM)
  • Spray angle and distribution pattern
  • Pressure drop behaviour
  • Thread specification and sealing interface
  • Abrasion and erosion resistance
  • Anti-drip or shut-off geometry requirements

Correct geometry and material pairing reduce premature orifice wear, spray distortion, clogging and thread cracking.

Replacement & OEM Support

Kaybin supports replacement spray nozzles, filling nozzle refurbishment and reverse engineering of discontinued OEM nozzle designs. Components are supplied for industrial systems across South Africa and Africa.

Engineering Details Required

To manufacture the correct nozzle, provide:

  • Application (filling, dosing, spraying, rinsing or drain)
  • Required flow rate and spray pattern
  • Thread form and size (e.g., BSP, NPT, metric)
  • Operating pressure and temperature range
  • Media type and cleaning chemicals
  • CAD file (STEP / IGES / DWG) or physical sample

Kaybin then manufactures industrial plastic nozzles to match your specified duty and interface requirements.
