Kaybin manufactures precision metal shims and spacer shims to drawing or sample for machinery alignment, height adjustment, and clearance control. Parts are laser-cut or machined to size so fits, gaps, and loads stay within tolerance in industrial and OEM equipment.

Function & Typical Applications

• Set or correct clearances between mating parts

Material Options

Shims are produced from application-specific metals:

• Stainless steel (304 ) – corrosion-resistant, clean environments, food/chemical duty
• Mild steel / carbon steel – general industrial use, painted or plated if required
• Brass / copper – good conductivity, non-sparking, specialty applications
• Other alloys on request where specific properties are needed
• Thickness, grade and finish are selected based on load, environment and adjustment range.

Engineering Details Required

To manufacture the correct shim, provide:

• Application and location (base/foot, flange, housing, bracket, etc.)

• Shim outline (profile or drawing), thickness and slot/bolt pattern
• Load conditions and environment (corrosion, washdown, heat, etc.)
