Polyurethane Wheels for Industrial Handling & OEM Equipment
Kaybin manufactures high-performance polyurethane (PU) wheels for trolleys, conveyors, carts, castors, and OEM machinery where durability, floor protection, and quiet running are critical. Each wheel is produced to drawing or sample, with the PU grade, hub design, and bearing interface tailored to the load, speed, and operating environment.
Function & Typical Applications
- Supports loads on trolleys, carts, conveyors, and material-handling equipment
- Reduces noise, vibration, and floor damage compared with steel or hard plastic wheels
- Provides grip, shock absorption, and long wear life under continuous or start–stop duty
- Used across warehouses, packaging lines, bottling plants, food and beverage facilities, and OEM machinery
Material & Design Options
Polyurethane Tread (Primary Material)
- High abrasion and tear resistance
- Quiet, non-marking rolling options available
- Multiple hardness grades for grip, load, and impact needs
Core Options (as required)
- Steel / Stainless Steel – heavy load, high strength
- Aluminium – lightweight, corrosion resistant
- Nylon, Acetal (POM), HDPE, PP – chemical resistance + reduced rolling resistance
Bearing & Bush Interfaces
- Plain bore
- Press-fit bushes
- Deep groove bearings
- Custom hub machining + keyways (if required)
Operating Conditions
Designed for:
- Medium to heavy load rolling duty
- Continuous operation or start–stop handling
- Indoor/outdoor use
- Wet, mildly abrasive, or washdown environments (PU grade dependent)
- Requirements for non-marking, anti-static, high-grip, or noise-control performance
- Correctly specified PU wheels deliver long service life, reduced downtime, and smoother handling.
Engineering Details Required
Provide the following to manufacture the correct wheel:
- OD, width, hub/bore size, and bearing/bush type
- Load per wheel, travel speed, and duty cycle
- Floor surface (concrete, epoxy, tiles, steel, rough, smooth)
- Environment (wet, washdown, chemical exposure, outdoor)
- Special requirements: non-marking, anti-static, high grip, low noise, food grade
Kaybin selects the appropriate PU grade and hub design, then manufactures wheels to exact specification for reliable industrial and OEM performance across Africa.
