Kaybin manufactures custom-moulded and cut rubber gaskets designed for flexible, leak-free sealing in pumps, flanges, housings, tanks and OEM machinery. Rubber gaskets provide compression, resilience, vibration absorption and chemical compatibility where rigid plastic gaskets cannot maintain reliable sealing.

Material Options

Rubber gaskets and related components are manufactured from elastomers selected for media, pressure and temperature:

NBR (Nitrile) – oils, fuels, general industrial duty

EPDM – water, steam, CIP and cleaning chemicals, hygiene applications

Neoprene (Chloroprene) – abrasion resistance, outdoor exposure, moderate oils

Silicone – food-grade options, excellent high and low temperature stability

Viton (FKM) – aggressive chemicals, solvents and higher temperatures

Natural Rubber – high resilience and flexibility for impact and vibration

Thickness, hardness (Shore A) and any reinforcement are chosen according to sealing pressure and flange condition.

Operating Conditions
Designed for:

Static sealing under compression in bolted or clamped joints

Service in water, steam (within elastomer limits), oils, fuels, detergents, CIP solutions and compatible chemicals

Thermal cycling, flange movement and surface irregularities

Medium to high clamping pressures, depending on elastomer grade and design

Rubber gaskets are selected where flexibility and conformity are critical for long-term sealing.

Engineering Details Required for Manufacture

To specify the correct rubber gasket, washer, SQ ring or D-ring, provide:

Profile type (flat gasket, washer, SQ ring, D-ring)

Key dimensions (ID, OD, thickness) or full drawing/sample

Process media, operating temperature and pressure range

Flange or housing surface condition (new, worn, pitted, glass-lined, etc.)

Preferred hardness (soft, medium or firm compression)
