Suction Cups for Pick-and-Place, Handling & Packaging Systems
Kaybin manufactures custom suction cups for pick-and-place systems, robotic handling, packaging lines and vacuum lifting equipment. Supplied to drawing or sample, each cup is engineered for stable grip, controlled release and surface protection in high-cycle industrial use.
Used in automated packaging, bottling, material handling and robotics where consistent vacuum performance and repeatable placement are required.
Function & Typical Applications
- Grip on smooth or lightly textured surfaces
- Handling bottles, containers, cartons, film, sheets and components
- Installed on pick-and-place arms, case packers, palletisers and vacuum lifters
- Helps reduce slippage, mis-picks and surface marking
Material Options
Compound selection is matched to media exposure, temperature and wear conditions:
- NBR (Nitrile): general industrial and oil resistance
- EPDM: hot water, steam and weather exposure
- Neoprene (CR): abrasion and balanced chemical resistance
- Natural Rubber: high grip and flexibility
- Silicone: elevated temperature and non-tainting applications
- FKM: aggressive chemical environments
Material suitability is confirmed during application review.
Operating Conditions
Designed for:
- Continuous or high-cycle automated handling
- Repeated compression and release cycles
- Contact with plastics, glass, metal and coated packaging
- Washdown or cleaning environments (compound dependent)
- Temperature and chemical exposure matched to elastomer selection
Engineering Details Required
Provide:
- Application and product surface (glass / PET / carton / film / metal)
- Cup style (flat / bellows / deep) and diameter
- Mounting type (threaded, insert or adapter)
- Vacuum level (if known) and cycle rate
- Temperature and cleaning chemicals
- Special requirements (mark-free, anti-static, food-contact review, colour coding)
Kaybin confirms compound, geometry and mounting interface before manufacture to ensure stable grip and consistent handling performance.
